Credit Reports and Scores

You are entitled to view your credit report from Experian, Transunion and Equifax once every 12 months through the website annualcreditreport.com. You only receive the data reporting and not scores. Here are a couple of tips:
1. The website is tricky. If you don’t know some of the security questions or have access to a printer, I suggest you skip online and call 877-322-8228 to have them mail it to you.

2. Don’t purchase scores from the site. They use a consumer model so the score will differ depending on what you are purchasing. Credit Karma and other free sites don’t use FICO scores. They use Vantage Score which has entirely different scoring criteria. You can go to www.myfico.com and purchase 19 FICO scores most widely used for mortgage, auto and credit card financing or if you plan to purchase a home within the next year contact me for a one on one free consultation to build a game plan you can follow!

Please reach out if you have any questions!
